The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday evening thrashed the Eagles of Mali 4-1 to reach the final of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations for their first time in 13 years.

The Super Eagles continued their impressive run in the tournament in South Africa by scoring three of the goals in the first half of the match.
Defender Elderson Echiejile opened the scoring, heading home Victor Moses’ cross, before Brown Ideye bundled past Mali keeper Mamadou Samassa.
The Super Eagles made it three with Emmanuel Emenike’s shot deflecting in off Mali midfielder Momo Sissoko.
Substitute Ahmed Musa stroked home Nigeria’s fourth, before Cheick Diarra grabbed a consolation for the Eagles.
The Eagles are expected to meet the winner of the second semi-final match between Burkina Faso and Ghana.
