Saudi official: Kingdom 'warned the United States IN WRITING about Boston Bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2012

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia sent a written warning about accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2012, long before pressure-cooker blasts killed three and injured hundreds, according to a senior Saudi government official with direct knowledge of the document.

As many as 4 million Muslims make pilgrimages annually to the Grand mosque in the city of Mecca. Tsarnaev sought to join them for an 'Umrah' journey, a trip that happens outside of the month reserved for the annual Hajj

The Saudi warning, the official told MailOnline, was separate from the multiple red flags raised by Russian intelligence in 2011, and was based on human intelligence developed independently in Yemen.

Citing security concerns, the Saudi government also denied an entry visa to the elder Tsarnaev brother in December 2011, when he hoped to make a pilgrimage to Mecca, the source said. Tsarnaev's plans to visit Saudi Arabia have not been previously disclosed.

Boston bombing suspect moved to prison from hospital

Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been moved from a hospital to a prison medical center in Massachusetts, a US marshal’s spokesman told CNN Friday.
Tsarnaev was sent to the Federal Medical Center Devens, spokesman Drew Wade said.
The facility is about 40 miles (65 kilometers) northwest of the Boston-area hospital where Tsarnaev has been convalescing since he was found critically wounded in a boat in a massive police manhunt, days after the bombing which killed three and wounded 264.
The 19-year-old ethnic Chechen has been charged with using a weapon of mass destruction and could face the death penalty if convicted in US federal court.
His older brother, Tamarlan Tsarnaev 26, also accused of participating in the twin bombing, was killed in an explosive shootout as the two tried to evade police in a stolen car.

Boston Marathon suspect's injuries hinder investigation

The surviving Boston bombings suspect is so seriously injured that investigators may struggle to interrogate him effectively, it was suggested on Sunday, as further questions were raised about the FBI's previous contacts with his dead brother.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old who is accused of planting the pressure-cooker bombs with his older brother Tamerlan that killed three and injured more than 180 at the Boston Marathon last Monday, was being treated in hospital for a reported bullet wound to the throat and was unable to speak. He was captured on Friday night, a day after a violent gun battle with police that left his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, dead.

The FBI admitted that it interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev in early 2011 at the request of a foreign government, believed to be Russia, which had concerns he was linked to Islamist terrorism. The FBI said it concluded he was not involved in terrorism, and was left scrambling at the weekend to find out more about a six-month visit he made to Russia in 2012.

The owner of the boat David Henneberry reportedly emerged from his house after the curfew in Boston was lifted, saw blood on the vessel, lifted the cover and discovered a person inside. He then fled back to his house and called police, according to CNN. Flash-bangs were being thrown in by police who had surrounded the area to try to flush out the suspect who appeared to have been at the location for most of the day

A new image has emerged of the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings calmly walking away from the scene of carnage. The image taken by Florida businessman David Green emerged just hours after the FBI lodged an appeal to identify two suspects behind the attacks that killed three and injured over 180. His picture shows runners and spectators fleeing in panic around the suspect, closely resembling the man identified by officials as Suspect Number Two, who is wearing a white basketball cap and a dark hooded sweatshirt. Mr Green has spoken to the FBI and told the New York Times and CNN's Piers Morgan that agents believe the man is Suspect Number Two.

Boston bomber is caught on camera

The FBI said there has been 'substantial progress' in the Boston bombing investigation after they analyzed surveillance footage from a nearby department store which showed a 'man in a hooded sweatshirt in a backwards baseball cap' planting the second bomb.

Because of that video - and local news footage - authorities were able to get exactly what they have been looking for - an individual coming in and dropping a package in a black bag before quickly walking away again. 

It was initially believed the man had been arrested and would soon be taken to court but White House officials later denied that anyone had been take into custody or even positively identified.

CNN - who broke the arrest news - later backtracked and said it had been a misunderstanding and no arrest had been made.

Is this the man? While everyone seems to instinctively cower - the man dressed in black and highlighted - appears to run away at speed from the scene in the opposite direction to everyone else who was caught up in the blast
