Keshi released a 32-man list for the nations' cup recently and prominent names like Osaze Odewingiwe and Obafemi Martins were omitted. That decision has sparked loads of reactions from many football fans.
The latest of such reactions is the one involving principal players. Keshi claims Osaze wanted the captainship band while there were older players in the team as a condition for joining the team. Not to be left out, Osaze took to his twitter handle to throw invectives at the coach and the NFF. He said, “I am not surprised Keshi and NFF couldn’t tell me themselves. No personality.’’ “This might sound disrespectful, but Eagles had no good captain for many years. Everyone looking only after himself,
“We talk through press… how come I am the only stubborn one, but no ex-Eagles player was sent off from the team with respect?’’ he said, apparently referring to former Super Eagles players, who left the team unceremoniously
The striker maintained that his being left out had nothing to do with football.
According to the Lille former star, “Keshi has no footballing reasons not to invite me, but he is not saying the truth. ‘He is still in my plans,’ he said… coach u no dey my plans.”
He dared anyone, who wished to join issues with him on this matter.
On his feud with former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, Odemwingie alleged that the coach dropped him because he did not endorse him for the Eagles top job after the Beijing Olympic Games, where Nigeria won the silver medal.

“Cos after we got Olympic silver I didn’t say Siasia is ready for Eagles he waited till he gets the job to axe me?
“Me (sic) and Apam begged him to take (Sani) Kaita in the Olympic team. He told us he wanted to play Efe Ambrose there, who is a centre back? Good plan.
“The only reason me and Siasia (sic) fell out was over kits that were not enough ‘cos they were on sale as the Olympics were on going. Shame!
These are the kind of reactions that we do not need at this time. The football people better get their acts together.
