Party goes awry after "tweet" invitation

Kevin and Lesley Norman's home (inset) in Enderby, Leicestershire, has been trashed after the six person party held by their daughter Brodie (left), 16, turned into a 100-teen riot.

Youths ransacked bedrooms, hurled the family's possessions out of windows, emptied wardrobes and smashed ornaments in the house and garden, including terracotta pots and a £200 antique chair. Cooking oil, chilli sauce, mustard and flour were strewn throughout the £350,000 home and teenagers were seen dancing on the roof.

The moral of this piece is the kids being closely monitored. Parents cannot just believe or assume their kids would be fine- some form of watch must be put in place. Details of events like house parties, cannot be placed on public space like those of Facebook and twitter- it is a serious security risk
