National flags in public offices and institutions flied at half mast, yesterday, after the Nasarawa State government declared a statewide mourning for the over one hundred policemen and other security operatives murdered at Alakyo on May 7.
The May 13 declaration for the mourning was signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hajiya Zainab Abdulmumin, who said the decision was made as a mark of respect for the fallen compatriots.
