Show of largesse: Dubai officers drive around in fleet of supercars including £1.6m Aston Martin

In an impressive show of largesse, the emirate's police force has added the eye-wateringly expensive Aston Martin One-77, left, to its fleet of cars, which now also includes a £300,000 Lamborghini Aventador, top right, and a Ferrari FF, bottom right. The force says the supercars can help cut down speeding, which is a major problem in the city - someone dies on its roads on average once every 26 hours.
