Abuja- The Federal Government of Nigeria is to spend N150
million to organize The Abuja Carnival in 2013.
The Minister of Culture, Tourism and National Orientation,
Mr. Edem Duke stated this when he appeared before the senate committee for
culture and tourism to defend his Ministry’s budget.
The Minister said, if the Ministry was properly funded, many
jobs would be provided for the Nigerian populace.
I had heard rhetoric like this many times in the past but I
am willing to watch and see.
