Abuja- Plans have been concluded for the construction of a
new Banquet hall in Abuja as the present hall is claimed by Government sources
not to be befitting the presidential residence. The sum of N2.2 billion has
been approved for this purpose.
The construction of the 150 seater hall has been ceded to
construction giants, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. They were chosen for security
reasons and because of their familiarity with the villa.
This government does not fail to amuse me with their
bereavement of important ideas.
